Mr. Mister’s kidney disease is progressing, and we’ve maxed out on all treatment options. Combined with his IBD, he’s been having a tough time lately, and eating is quite the chore. He won’t be with us for much longer (exact timing isn’t entirely clear - he is Mister after all, so he isn’t quite following the textbook).

Making the most of our time together

People have told his mom she should do his favorite things, and when she discussed it with Mister, he was very clear that his favorite thing is spending time with his favorite humans and getting back scratches from pretty much anyone who will engage. Even though he feels quite sick, he still goes outside once a day, and stands around on the sidewalk waiting, and hoping, for someone to walk by and cuddle with him.

So, it’s been decided that he will be holding court and hosting his favorite humans on the blue velvet sofa.

You’re on the list!

Mister made his own guest list. Mom shared names with him, and names that received a severe head tilt from Mister were added to the guest list. The list was double confirmed, so rest assured - you made the cut.

What to expect

He WILL be delighted to see you. You can expect some tail wagging, and likely some interest in cuddles and back scratches on the couch. He may ask you to play with him, but that’s often just a couple of fetches. He also may just sit next to you and sleep, peacefully knowing his friend is next to him.

Cream cheese, treats and seats on the couch will be provided for his comfort. This is his court after all, you’re just visiting. 😉 (Napkins to wipe your cream cheese fingers will be provided for you - we’re not animals!)
